What this tool shows

Every registered domain carries a public record of who registered it and when. This lookup reads that record over RDAP, the modern replacement for classic WHOIS, and shows the registrar, the registration, update, and expiry dates, the authoritative nameservers, the domain status codes, and abuse contact where available. It is the quickest way to see the lifecycle of any domain.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the registrant hidden?

Most registrars redact personal contact details for privacy, following regulations like GDPR. The registrar, dates, nameservers, and status are still public and are what this tool focuses on.

What do the status codes mean?

Status codes like clientTransferProhibited are locks the registrar or owner places on the domain to prevent unauthorized transfers or deletions. They are a normal sign of a healthy, protected domain.

Why does one domain return no data?

A few newer or country-code TLDs do not publish RDAP data yet. When that happens the lookup cannot return details, even though the domain is registered.
